The Pew Research Center released a comprehensive survey of U.S. Jews. In this conference call for RA members, Dr. Jonathan D. Sarna, one of the advisors for the Pew study, will evaluate the data from the survey as related to the Conservative Movement and address opportunities for our Movement highlighted by the results.
The call will take place on Monday, Oct. 7, 12:00 - 1:00 PM ET wth Dr. Jonathan D. Sarna, Joseph H. & Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History at Brandeis University and Chief Historian of the new National Museum of American Jewish History.
In order to prepare for the call, we recommend reading a few short selections from the full report that will serve as Dr. Sarna’s jumping-off point. The sections are those on Growth of Jews with No Religion, Birth Rate, Household Composition, and Denominational Identity.
