Mayer E. Rabinowitz is associate professor of Talmud at The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is the chairman of the Joint Bet Din of the Conservative Movement, which deals with matters of marriage and divorce, as well as arbitration and mediation. He served as both secretary and research consultant to the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards of the Rabbinical Assembly; he served on the law committee for twenty-five years. 

Joseph Prouser is Rabbi of Baldwin Jewish Center in Baldwin, New York.  He is a Mesader Gittin and a member of the Joint Bet Din.  He is the author of responsa on organ donation and compulsory immunization adopted by the CJLS, as well as of a biography of the Vilna Ger Tzedek and the RA's siddur for Birkat Ha-Hammah.
