Protecting and Strengthening Democracy for the 2024 U.S. Election

Thursday, September 5th; 12:00 - 1:00 pm ET / 9:00 - 10:00 am PT / 7:00 - 8:00 pm Israel Time

As challenges to democracy mount around the 2024 U.S. election and beyond, Jews have the responsibility to engage in the work of strengthening democracy. Join Aaron Dorfman, Executive Director of A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy, and our colleague, Joshua Ratner, who chairs the Social Justice Commission's Strengthening Democracy subcommittee, to learn how Jewish organizations can effectively lead their communities through toxic polarization, political violence, other threats that may arise this election season. The program will include two tracks - one for rabbis on potential approaches to speaking about election-related threats during the High Holidays, and one for synagogue and other Jewish institutional leaders on how they can help prepare their communities through a contentious election.
