In light of the Joint Beit Din’s recent heter to allow women to serve as witnesses on gittin, our colleagues Pamela Barmash (Chair of CJLS and member of the Joint Beit Din) and Karen Reiss Medwed (Mesadderet Gittin and member of the Joint Beit Din) invite female members of our RA to join in a conversation about the impact of this decision. What are the implications for us as women, for our egalitarian global Conservative/Masorti movement, for our personal well-being and for our spiritual leadership?
