Our new RA publication, The Observant Life, will be the focus of this year’s High Holiday sermon teleconference. Its senior editor, Martin S. Cohen, will guide us on how to use many of the chapters of the book for our d’rashot for the upcoming hagim.
We will explore the chapters on prayer, repentance and the holidays. We will also examine how you can use the chapter on truthfulness for a d’rash on the Book of Life; the chapters on marriage, parenting, grandparenting and sibling relationships for a drash on the familial stories in the Torah reading; and the chapter on inheritance and bequests as the basis for a Yizkor sermon.
