Kol Ishah: Leaning In, Leaning Out, Learning from Each Other

Nearly 30 years after the first woman was ordained at The Jewish Theological Seminary, the process of self-definition and defining - or "branding" - our rabbinate continues. Now 307 women strong we continue to explore the issues of work and balancing the choices we face in our lives and careers.  At this gathering, we will consider the challenges posed by Sheryl Sandberg in her much discussed book Lean In which raises provocative questions about women in the workplace and that delicate work/life balance.

We will listen, learn, and "lean in," discussing these challenges as well as ways to support ourselves and each other as we move forward as Conservative rabbis, helping to shape the collective Jewish future.

The gathering will take place at The Rabbinical Assembly, 3080 Broadway, for women members of the Rabbinical Assembly. It will feature keynote speakers, workshops, learning, lean in circle meetings, and much more. Scholarships and local housing available.
