On April 27, we commemorate Yom HaZikaron, Israel's official remembrance day dedicated to fallen soldiers and civilian victims of terrorism. Tamar Elad-Applebaum and Shmuel Glick of the Schechter Institutes in Jerusalem shared their reflections on the day. Please also read these reflections from our colleague Elliot Dorff.
On April 28, we celebrate Yom Ha-Atzma'ut, the national day of Israel commemorating the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948. Our RA has a resource on the Laws and Customs of Yom Ha-Atzma'ut, as well as a special Al Ha-Nissim prayer and various other psalms and prayers for the day from Siddur Sim Shalom.
