WHEREAS the State of Israel is gravely concerned about Israeli soldiers who are missing and whose condition is unknown; and
WHEREAS the Geneva Conference mandates that the whereabouts of soldiers missing in action be made known even to enemy armies; and
WHEREAS the families of missing Israeli soldiers are suffering great anguish not knowing the conditions of their loved ones; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Rabbinical Assembly implore the United States government through all of its branches and agencies to demand that Iran and Lebanon release information about these missing Israeli soldiers and allow an objective third party to corroborate their status.
