Teshuvot
•Leonard A. Sharzer, MD "Transgender Jews and Halakhah" EH 5:11.2017

•Elliot Dorff, Daniel Nevins, and Avram Reisner, "Homosexuality, Human Dignity and Halakhah" EH 24.2006b

This teshuvah from Rabbis Dorff, Nevins, and Reisner was groundbreaking at the time it was written in 2006 and opened the door to the rabbinate and committed halakhic partnership for many people. Parts of this teshuvah, though, have been challenging for some queer folks, and may be for people in your community. The version linked here also includes a December 2022 author’s update regarding people who identify as bisexual. This update opens more doors for folks looking to live a life committed to who they are as well as halakhic Judaism
